The Indianapolis 500 has been the most celebrated event in the history of our great city. It's not only the biggest spectacle in racing but it's also the single largest sporting event in the world. In a recent article in the IBJ I learned that the track will probably be going through with a $100 million state funded renovation project. Finding this out made me think to my self about all the jobs it would bring and how it would effect housing prices in the immediate area. Over the last few years we've purchased quite a few properties over there. Eagledale is one of our favorite neighborhoods. I sat down with my wife last night and we ran a report in alpines newly implemented propertyware system. Turns out that we've purchased 110 properties in 46222 and 46224, which are the zip codes that surround the race track. Assuming that the bill passes, which I'm pretty certain it will, this could mean a huge upside for the the owners of all the single family houses that we have purchased in the area. Demand for housing in Eagledale will increase and drive prices up. Great news for our investors!
